   Proposal Description:
   The Frontotemporal Dementia Diversity and Disparities Professional Interest Areas (PIAs) through ISTAART (International Society to Advance Alzheimer?#128#153s Research and Treatment) are collaborating to identify and find solutions for current gaps in the field?#128#153s knowledge of FTD in diverse populations. These range from diagnoses, to clinical characterization, to biomarkers, genetics, caregiver burden, and others. This NACC request aims to understand the number of persons from underrepresented populations diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (i.e., behavioral variant FTD, primary progressive aphasia, corticobasal degeneration, parasupranuclear palsy, FTD Motor Neuron disease) compared to those living with Alzheimer?#128#153s dementia, Lewy body dementia, vascular, and mixed etiologies.
